Wednesday night worship
I have really enjoyed the Weds night services this year.  I am so grateful to those in the church who have shared their faith stories.  They were very meaningful.  And Holden Evening Prayer and Prayer around the Cross (a Holden worship experience) have both been compelling.  I appreciate the opportunity for quiet and active prayer.

Re: Wednesday night worship

In what seems at first a contradiction, I find the necessary time of solitude of the heart, that is needed to truly hear and worshipfully respond to God, in the quiet and deeply sincere presence of a community of like-spirited followers of the Christ. While time completely alone before God is not to be minimalized, time spent with a group of fellow believers worshiping is powerfully reinvigorating. Something I need quite often in my pursuit of God. I thank God for these moments, and for all my sisters and brothers present.

Re: Wednesday night worship

The most moving service for me was the second time we did Prayer around the Cross, seeing people go up to pray, AND seeing others stand next to those who were praying.  Prayers, tears, embraces, it was a meaningful time of worship.
